Play High Quality Youtube Video by Default

YouTube now offers option for viewing some of the videos in high quality. You will notice an option at the bottom right for Watching in high quality format. You can set your youtube account, so that it will always play High Quality version, if it is available.

This tutorial will not change all the youtube videos into high quality format. It only changes the default setting to high quality, so that it can play high quality videos whenever available.

  1. Log into your YouTube account.
  2. Click on 'Account' on top left corner. Go down and click on 'Video Playback Quality'.
  3. Select 'I have a fast connection. Always play higher-quality video when it's available.' option. (If you have slow internet connection, this option would not work very well for you.) Click on 'Save Settings'.

Now you can view high quality videos on youtube whenever it is available.

Rename Multiple Digital Photos after Uploading to Computer

You just uploaded pictures from your digital camera to your computer. Picture names are in weird number format. You want to change the names to some useful form, so that you can easily identify them by names later on. You don’t need any software to do that. Windows can do that for you. This trick works with any windows system including Vista.

  1. Select the pictures you want to rename.
  2. Go to first picture. And Right Click on it. (Don’t left click on it first; otherwise you will loose the selection of photos)
  3. Now, click on the ‘Rename’ from the right click menu. The first picture will have rename text box. Write down some meaningful name like picnic or birthday photos.
  4. Press Enter. And Boom… all the selected pictures are in more meaningful name.
